Getting to the EMEX London show:

Whether you’re flying in or staying in the city, here’s how you can get to the Excel in London:

  • Walk approximately 0.3 miles to King’s Cross St. Pancras station (approx 7 minutes)
  • Take the Thameslink Horsham train to Farringdon (4 minutes)
  • Walk 2 minutes to take the overground
  • Get on the Elizabeth line train (Abbey Wood) – staying on for four stops, getting off at Custom house
  • Walk 0.3 miles (approx 7-minute walk) to arrive at London Excel 
  • This is the quickest option, taking around 40 minutes

Other options include getting the Metropolitan line to Farringdon and taking the same route from there to the Excel, or alternatively from Kings Cross St Pancras you could get the Metropolitan line (Uxbridge) to Bakerstreet (3 stops, 5 minutes), walk 1 minute to platform 7, then get the Jubilee (Stratford) train to Canning Town, walk 1 minute to platform 3 and get the DLR for 2 stops (3 minutes) – getting off at Custom House.

  • From platform 3 take the tube to Oxford Circus on the Victoria Line (Walthamstow Central) for two stops (4 minutes)
  • Walk 11 minutes to Tottenham Court Road
  • From Tottenham Court Road take the DLR to Custom House from Platform A – it takes 16 minutes (5 stops)
  • Get off at Custom House and walk to the Excel
  • From platform 6 take the Jubilee line (Stratford) to Canning Town for 7 stops (14 minutes)
  • From Canning Town take the DLR from platform 3 for 2 stops (3 minutes) stopping at Custom House
  • Walk from Custom House to the Excel
  • Walk approximately 3 minutes to London Euston underground
  • From platform 2 take the Northern Line tube (Kennington via Charing Cross) – for 3 stops getting off at Tottenham Court Road
  • Walk approximately 2 minutes to get the DLR train to Custom House from platform A
  • Take the Elizabeth Line (Abbey Wood) DLR train to Custom House (5 stops)
  • Arrive at Custom house – walk 0.3 miles to the Excel centre in London

This is the quickest route taking circa 38 minutes. Other options include: 

  • Walk from Euston to Euston Square take the Metro line (Aldgate) for 2 stops getting off at Farringdon > Farringdon (Elizabeth line, 2 stops) > Custom House then walk to the Excel (40 minutes)
  • Go from London Euston to Green Park on the Victoria line (Brixton – 3 stops) > From Green Park take the Jubilee line (Stretford) to Canning Town, then take the DLR from Canning Town to Custom House (2 stops) – taking around 48 minutes

Places to eat nearby EMEX London

  • La Barrique – a welcoming and comfortable wine bar and restaurant located just outside the ExCel Centre in East London.
  • Lands End Restaurant – which is a restaurant on a super yacht! Making it a very unique dining experience.
  • Fox @ Excel –  a cavernous space on different levels with areas small enough for intimate meetings. 
  • Zero Sette – Modern in appearance with stripped brickwork, trendy motifs & bold colours, it touts a menu of retro & contemporary standards
  • Sunborn Afternoon Tea – See a different side of London from the deck of a luxurious superyacht

Groceries:

  • If you prefer to grab snacks or drinks for the day, there’s a Tesco Express near the Excel where you can buy everything from snacks to beverages.

  • Arrive early to avoid long queues and give yourself time to settle in before the sessions begin.
  • Bring business cards – It’s the perfect opportunity to network with industry professionals.
